School Rules

The school has framed the following rules for strict observance by the students:

  1. Every student should bring His/her identity card and school diary to school daily.
  2. Students should arrive at the school before the first assembly bell rings.
  3. The bell before the assembly or for periods is a signal for all to go to the assembly or to their r e s p e c t i v e class room. This should be done promptly and in silence.
  4. Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is forbidden, perfect silence must be observed while changing classes between periods.
  5. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly and properly dressed.
  6. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions within the school. They should also wear the school uniform on out station visits or during board examinations at the centre located in other schools. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home back.
  7. Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys should invariably wear gray turbans or their customary head gear.
  8. Care must be taken of all school property. No student should damage any school furniture or the school property they should not write or draw anything on the walls. Damage done will be made good from concerned students.
  9. No book (other than text books or library books), magazines or paper should be brought to the school.
  10. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is strictly prohibited. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, fountain pens, items of jewellaery) or weapons/scissors to the school.
  11. The school reserves the right to suspend/rusticate and expel the students whose progress is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  12. Parents and guardians of all the students should contact teachers on the PTA meeting days fixed or announced (which has already scheduled for the session) to note the progress of their wards.
  13. Parents and guardians must not visit their wards/teachers in the class rooms.
  14. Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/guardians within two days of receipt of the report card and return the same to the school. If lost a fine would be imposed. Only the final report card will be retained by the students and their parents.
  15. The name of class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all the belongings of the student. Blazers and Jerseys should also bear the name of the students.
  16. Late comers, uniform defaulters and children who do not do the home work regularly will be sent home. The parents of such students will be informed by the school either telephonically or through short message service (SMS) which is functional in the school.
  17. A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject/ all the subjects and warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal/expulsion from the school.
  18. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the authority. They will not be called to answer phone calls during the school hours.
  19. Members of STUDENT COUNCIL will wear their respective badges and be helping in maintaining the class/school discipline. They should return the badges at the end of the academic year. Lose of such badges is be made good by the badge holder.
  20. No student shall arrive or be left in the school by the parents by before time-half an hour before the school hours.
  21. Mobile phones to be brought are not permitted in the school. They will be confiscated and returned to the parents only after paying a fine of Rs. 200/- and giving an undertaking that their ward will not repeat the mistake.
  22. Any change in the residential address or telephone number/s must be immediately notified to the school authorities.
  23. On their birthdays, the teachers are not allowed to accept gifts from the students. On their own birthdays, students are also not allowed to distribute any gift. They can, however, distribute only toffees to their teachers & classmates.
